As previously mentioned here… Attorney Tiffany Hales of Brian Webb Legal, helped draft a new bill that would offer better protection for landlords and homeowners from squatters.
That bill, Senate Bill 1120, passed the Senate by unanimous vote on March 9, 2017 and just recently passed in the House on March 24th, 2017. The final vote tally in the House was 63 “aye” and 3 “no”.
The bill will now go to Governor Otter for his signature!
